Kent for All

A slate of Democrats for the Putnam County Democratic Committee

Primary — Tuesday, June 23 Vote for everyone except Epstein

This June, Kent Democrats have a rare choice on the ballot: a primary for our District Leaders on the Putnam County Democratic Committee. There are three seats and four candidates.

We are running together because the committee should reflect the values of the Democrats it represents. One of the four candidates, Louis Epstein, has been openly and repeatedly anti-LGBTQ+ in letters to the editor and at county and town committee meetings. His presence has made it harder to recruit volunteers, earn the trust of local Democrats, and elect Democrats in Kent.

Everyone is entitled to their views. But leadership of the Democratic Party should not alienate the very neighbors we ask to join us. We believe Kent deserves a committee that welcomes everyone and that’s the committee we intend to build.

We’re asking you to vote for the other three candidates, all current committee members in good standing who share our values as Democrats.

Kathleen Valletta-McMorrow

Putnam County Democratic Committee

A practicing family law attorney, a longtime Carmel resident, and a previous candidate for New York State Assembly District 94. She brings that experience and a deep commitment to her community and democratic values to her work on the Putnam County Democratic Committee.

Anna Walsh

Current Co-Chair, Kent Town Committee | Putnam County Democratic Committee

Software developer and Cortlandt native who moved to ED1 in 2022 to raise her family. Lives here with her husband, toddler, and Labrador mix. Co-chairs the committee with Ava Sanel, focused on building a welcoming, active group ready to elect Democrats in Kent and Putnam.

Robin Fillhart

Putnam County Democratic Committee

Recently retired physical therapist who has watched the seasons turn over Seven Hills Lake since 1990. Avid volunteer, crafter, and gardener, Robin is devoted to family and community and running for a Democratic committee that reflects Democratic values.
